Wood Backing

The quality of the outside portion of the backrest was great. What I didn't expect was the wood backing causing me issue. This was not a re-wrap. I paid extra to have the backrest made without sending my backrest. When I went to install, the screw for the old backrest was larger then the new backrest. When I went to back it out, it damaged the wood backing. I had to rebuild the new backrest using the old backrest insides which was metal and way more stronger. It worked thankfully. I suggest if you are building without a core, ask for the screw that matches it.

Sorry you had an issue with the screw insert David, I use the industry standard of machine threaded 1/4'-20 inserts, which is what Siouxcide used to use as well. If the screw was close enough to go in but jammed, they may have changed to a different size or are no longer using machine thread screws which is unfortunate. I'll give them a call to confirm and update the notes for any changes.
