To eliminate the natural stretch of seat cover materials like Saddlemen's Saddlehyde, we sew a core of polyester webbing inside each piece.  This also adds a tensile strength to the straps allowing you to cinch multiple items like a rain poncho in with your blanket without stretching or overloading the straps.
